Terms of Use
The short version of what Dreams does, what a subscription costs you, and what the app is not.
Using Dreams means accepting these terms. If you would rather not, please do not use the app.
Interpretations are not advice. Everything else here is read subject to this. Dreams offers interpretations from traditional published dictionaries and from an AI model, for entertainment and personal reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic, legal or financial advice, they diagnose nothing, and they predict nothing. AI readings can be wrong or strange; dictionary entries record historical opinion, not fact.
If a dream leaves you distressed, or you are struggling, speak to a doctor or a mental health service. In an emergency, or if you are thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number or a crisis line. Dreams is not monitored and cannot summon help.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13, or older where local law requires it (16 in parts of the EEA). Under 18, use the app with a parent or guardian, and only they may buy a subscription.
Licence and content
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Dreams on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store usage rules. No copying, modifying or extracting the source, and no copying the dictionary out of the app.
Dictionary entries are quoted with attribution from published dream dictionaries, mostly old works. They belong to their authors, they contradict one another, and we do not warrant that any is accurate. If you hold rights in material shown in the app, write to us and we will remove or amend it where the objection is well-founded.
Your entries
What you write is yours; we claim no ownership and do not publish it. You grant us only the permission needed to store it, sync it and — when you ask — send that entry for interpretation; see the Privacy Policy. Do not store unlawful material or use the AI features to generate it. The app is not a backup service — keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Subscriptions
Dreams is free to download and offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions that remove advertising and unlock paid features. The plans, their length and their price in your currency are shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, and those are the terms that apply. Payment is handled by Apple.
- Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends; renewal is charged within those 24 hours.
- Manage or cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
- Deleting the app, or your Dreams account, does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription covering the same content.
- Refunds are Apple's, under Apple's policy — use Report a Problem. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
Apple's role
This agreement is between you and DevTree only. Apple is not a party to it, is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support — support requests come to us. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that cannot be excluded, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; beyond that Apple has no warranty obligation. Any other claim about the app — product liability, consumer protection, intellectual property infringement — is our responsibility, not Apple's. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo and not on any US prohibited-party list.
Advertising and availability
The free version shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob; we do not control which ads appear. Sign-in, sync and AI analysis need an internet connection. We may change or withdraw features, and we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Third-party terms also apply: Firebase, AdMob, Apple Media Services.
Liability
Dreams is provided as it is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost data, decisions you take in reliance on an interpretation, or the acts of third-party services and advertisers; where we are liable despite this, our total liability is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the last twelve months and US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or affects your statutory consumer rights.
Termination and changes
We may end your use of the app if you break these terms — cancel any subscription through Apple. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. The date at the top is the current version, and continuing to use Dreams after a change means accepting it.
